Tatiara Art Prize Opens

The Tatiara District Council have announced the opening of the 2015 Tatiara Art Prize.  The Tatiara Art Prize is a competition and exhibition open to all Australian artists (citizens or residents for at least twelve months) with prize money of $12,000 for 2 dimensional work in any medium.

 

Tatiara District Council is an enthusiastic supporter of arts and culture in the community and the Art Prize is an award that not only recognises the work of local artists, but brings artwork from around Australia for the community to enjoy.

 

The prize offers artists an opportunity to be part of a major exhibition at Bordertown’s Walkway Gallery, and a chance to win the $10,000 acquisitive prize and the $500 People’s Choice Award. Also on offer a youth $750 (15-26 year old) award and a $250 (5-14 year old) award.

IMPORTANT DATES:

Entries for pre-selection close: 5pm, Monday 31 August 2015

Announcement of shortlisted artists: mid September 2015

Entries delivery: 9am-4pm Monday 19 to Tuesday 20 October, 2015

Exhibition dates: 24 October – 27 November, 2015

Official Opening and Announcement: 6.30pm, Saturday 24 October at the Walkway Gallery, Bordertown
