‘Take Your Place’ Competition

Architects spend a lot of time considering the design of great places for people. Before they think about how a place looks or what is made from, they think about how people will use and move around a place, that we feel safe and comfortable, and that it will be a place that everyone can enjoy and have fun with their friends and families.

You’re invited to ‘Take your Place’ by making a film up to 3-minutes in length about a great place that is important to you, so that PLACE SA can make places better for the future.

Anyone from school children, teens and adults can get involved. You might like to work together with your friends, members of your family or even your teacher.

The local community will have the chance to vote for their favourite entry on the PLACE SA website from 2 October and the winners in each age category will receive some great prizes.

To start, think about a particular place that you enjoying visiting, and ask yourself:

–    Why is this place important to me?

–    How does this place make you feel and what does it mean to you?

–    What do you think other people would enjoy about this place?
